Although printed circuit boards play an important role in electronic devices, they are not semiconductors. Semiconductors refer to materials whose electrical conductivity is between that of conductors and insulators at room temperature, such as silicon and germanium. They have unique physical and chemical properties and are key materials for making electronic components such as chips. Printed circuit boards are plate-like structures composed of insulating materials and conductive lines. Their main function is to provide electrical connections and mechanical support, rather than having special conductive properties like semiconductors. Therefore, although printed circuit boards work closely with semiconductor components in electronic devices to realize various functions of device operation, they are essentially two different concepts.
